About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of financial crime investigators and monitor team performance.
  • Conduct quality checks on financial crime investigations within prescribed standards.
  • Prepare and conduct quality checks of Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filings.
  • Exercise professional judgment and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant laws and implementing regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
  • Stay informed about financial crime trends and suggest enhancements to internal policies based on identified gaps.
  • Conduct training on internal processes and financial crime-related topics as required.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as required.
    Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a leadership/management capacity.
  • Experience as an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) investigator in transaction monitoring and SAR writing.
  • Knowledge of AML laws (USA PATRIOT Act) and relevant regulations (Fed, SEC, FINRA).
  • Understanding of legal and compliance issues in complex banking organizations.
  • Operational knowledge of USD payment systems, including SWIFT, CHIPS, ACH, and FedFunds.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting.
  • Strong writing skills and effective internet search techniques.

  • CAMS certification is a plus.
