Remote Bilingual Client Service Representative
Location: Must reside on the East Coast (New York preferred)
Schedule: Full-Time | Work Type: Remote
Make a difference from home as a Cantonese-speaking Client Service Representative supporting the New York Independent Assessor Program (NYIAP) — a statewide Medicaid initiative connecting New Yorkers to long-term, community-based care. This full-time, remote call center role is ideal for bilingual professionals fluent in Cantonese and English, passionate about public service, and eager to assist individuals navigating enrollment and healthcare options. Note: This is a fully remote position, but candidates must reside on the East Coast. New York residency is strongly preferred.

- Training Period: August 18 – September 12, 2025 (4 weeks)
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- Attendance: No absences permitted during training or within the first 90 days
- Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (some required)
- Typical shifts may include:
- 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
- 11:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 11:30 AM–8:00 PM
- Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls regarding enrollment services
- Educate consumers on managed care options and assist with health plan selection
- Process enrollment and disenrollment forms accurately
- Perform mailroom support tasks as needed
- Document and track all consumer interactions in internal systems
- Escalate issues or complex inquiries to appropriate personnel
- Provide Cantonese-English interpretation as needed
- Participate in training sessions and stay up to date with program policies
- Candidate RequirementsRequired:
- Must reside on the East Coast (New York preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree a plus)
- Fluency in both Cantonese and English (spoken and written)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or human services
- Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency using multiple systems and working in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Preferred:
- Prior experience working in a call center environment
- Familiarity with Medicaid, managed care, or other healthcare programs
- Remote Work & Equipment RequirementsThis is a fully remote position, and all candidates must provide their own equipment and workspace. The following are required:
- A Windows 10 PC or macOS Catalina (10.15) or newer
- A USB-wired headset with a microphone (Bluetooth is not permitted)
- Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload
- Mobile hotspots and shared public Wi-Fi are not acceptable
- A quiet, private, and distraction-free home workspace
