As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product information in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities


  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, SMS, and chat, providing timely and effective solutions to their issues.

  • Receive and/or place telephone calls, predominantly routine, but may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures.

  • Maintain detailed and current knowledge of the company's/assigned client's products and services.

  • Resolve basic or tier 1 payment and account-related requests, including card activations, payments, name and address updates.

  • Utilize basic user-friendly Graphic User Interface (GUI) screens for client systems and established documentation and processes.

  • Enter required data into client-provided systems and databases.

  • Determine basic reasons for customer issues using a client-provided decision tree and escalate or refer unresolved customer grievances and requests to more experienced Customer Service Representatives or designated departments.

  • Begin to build base knowledge and familiarization of products, policies, and procedures for a limited number of clients and an understanding of association guidelines and compliance.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong PC skills, with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems and screens easily.

  • Ability to follow a script and adapt to changing situations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Eager to learn, with a quick learner mentality and a positive attitude.

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.

  • Ability to multitask, switching between different clients and systems.

  • Ability to work with little direct supervision.

While not required, having experience in the financial or payment industry, or being multilingual, can be a plus.
