[Remote] Remote DE Mortgage Underwriter (must reside in EST)

SolomonEdwards is partnering with a leading nationwide mortgage lender to identify Remote Mortgage Underwriters to support high-quality, compliant loan decisions. The role involves reviewing mortgage applications for accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulations, and making timely underwriting decisions.

Responsibilities
• Review all mortgage applications and support documentation for accuracy, completeness, and salability (processing 2 loans per day)
• Work with clients to prepare mortgage applications and related documentation as needed, help resolve any outstanding issues
• Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all mortgage and loan materials
• Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Skills
• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong knowledge frontline underwriting
• High level of attention to detail with sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Direct Endorsement (DE certification)
• Encompass experience preferred, not required
