Remote Senior Retail Operations Manager
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Retail Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote, leadership position that will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our retail operations across the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This includes managing operational budgets, improving store performance, streamlining supply chain logistics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute operational strategies to drive business growth and achieve company objectives. Manage and mentor a team of remote retail staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all stores and online channels. Analyze sales data and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development to align operational efforts with business goals. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards. Develop and maintain operational manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of retail operations. Prepare regular reports on operational performance for senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience (7+ years) in retail operations management, with a track record of success in driving operational excellence and profitability. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing remote teams. Strong understanding of retail best practices, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in retail management software and data analysis tools. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment. This role is based in Durham, North Carolina, US , but is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the US.
