We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Specialist Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive remote assessments to diagnose ADHD, taking into account medical history, behavioral observations, and patient input
- Prescribe and manage medication therapies for patients diagnosed with ADHD, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety
- Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness through regular follow-up appointments and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on ADHD management strategies, medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, counselors, and educators, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation of patient encounters in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
- Stay up-to-date with current research, developments, and guidelines related to ADHD diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing practices
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills
Requirements:
- Valid V300 non-medical prescribing qualification
- Proven experience in independently prescribing medications for ADHD
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in clear, understandable terms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient care and documentation
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one)
