SAP Business Support
We are seeking a SAP SD Retail Functional Support / SME to provide hands-on, business-facing support in a complex retail systems environment. This role focuses on ensuring stable day-to-day operations while supporting enhancements across the order-to-cash lifecycle in close collaboration with commercial teams.
- What You’ll Do
- Provide daily functional support for SAP SD Retail, ensuring reliable business operations
- Act as a trusted SME for stakeholders across Operations, Customer Service, Pricing, and Merchandising
- Collect, analyze, and document business requirements, incidents, and change requests
- Support functional, integration, and UAT testing activities
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve iDOC issues within the SD domain
- Support and troubleshoot integrations between SAP SD, POS, and WMS
- Contribute to continuous process improvements within the SD scope
- Required Skills & Experience
- SAP SD Retail: 2+ years in a retail environment, including Master Data, Sales, Distribution, and Billing/Invoicing
- iDOC expertise (must-have): Strong hands-on experience in SD iDOC monitoring, triage, and resolution; operational from day one
- Integration knowledge: Solid understanding of SAP SD integration with POS and WMS
- Functional profile: Business-facing SAP SD support role; no programming required, but strong end-to-end understanding of order and logistics data flows
- Operating model: Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional stakeholder groups
- Language: Fluent in English; Italian is a plus
- Time zone: Ability to work Eastern Time (NYC hours)
- Preferred / Nice to Have
- Fashion or retail industry experience
- Knowledge of SAP integration points with MM and FI
- Exposure to Oracle XStore POS
- Experience working in national or international projects or structured IT environments
- What Success Looks Like
- Stable SAP SD Retail daily operations with disciplined service-management execution
- Clear ownership of iDOC monitoring and issue resolution (triage, root cause, coordination, closure)
- Improved stakeholder experience through timely guidance, clear documentation, and high-quality test evidence
