Our client, a forward-thinking leader in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, is seeking a brilliant and innovative Senior AI Research Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their fully remote team. As a Senior AI Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research, developing novel algorithms, and building advanced NLP models that push the boundaries of machine understanding and generation of human language. You will contribute to high-impact projects, influencing the direction of our client's AI strategy and products.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art NLP models for tasks such as text classification, entity recognition, sentiment analysis, machine translation, question answering, and text generation. Conduct fundamental and applied research in areas like deep learning for NLP, transformers, language models (LLMs), and few-shot learning. Develop novel algorithms and techniques to improve model performance, efficiency, and interpretability. Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to integrate research findings into production systems. Publish research findings in top-tier AI conferences and journals. Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning literature. Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the scientific community. Contribute to patent filings and intellectual property development.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related field. 5+ years of research experience in NLP, with a proven track record of publications in leading AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP). Deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals, deep learning architectures (e.g., RNNs, CNNs, Transformers), and NLP techniques. Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX. Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex research challenges. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment. Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to work from any location within the US.
