Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and collaborative DevOps Engineer to join the DevOps team within our Reliability Engineering & Operations (REO) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving HealthEdge''s CI/CD pipelines and supporting the infrastructure-as-code (IaC) foundations that underpin our AWS-hosted production environments. During an active proof-of-concept (PoC) period, you will contribute incrementally to build and deploy automation initiatives, helping shape scalable patterns that will grow with the organization. This is a practitioner role for someone who takes pride in clean pipelines, reliable deployments, and well-structured infrastructure code.

Key Responsibilities

    CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance & Improvement
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot existing CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, consistent build and deployment operations across environments
  • Identify and resolve pipeline failures, bottlenecks, and reliability issues in a timely manner
  • Incrementally improve pipeline performance, stability, and observability as part of ongoing automation work
  • Document pipeline architecture, workflows, and runbooks to support operational continuity and team knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to onboard new services and applications into existing pipeline frameworks
    Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Support and maintain IaC codebases used to provision and configure HealthEdge''s AWS infrastructure (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
  • Implement incremental IaC improvements aligned to evolving infrastructure requirements during the PoC period
  • Enforce IaC standards including code review practices, module reuse, and version control hygiene
  • Assist in identifying infrastructure drift and remediating gaps between declared and actual environment state
    AWS Infrastructure Support
  • Provide operational support for HealthEdge''s AWS environments, including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, networking, and related services
  • Assist the SRE team with environment provisioning, configuration changes, and infrastructure scaling activities
  • Support deployment activities including release coordination, environment validation, and rollback execution as needed
  • Contribute to cost awareness and resource optimization efforts across AWS environments
    Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with SRE, NOC, and Software Engineering teams to align DevOps practices with broader REO reliability and operational goals
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new tooling during the PoC period, providing technical input on build and deploy automation approaches
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production deployment and infrastructure events
  • Ensure all DevOps activities comply with HIPAA, HITECH, and HealthEdge''s internal security and compliance policies
