Our client, a thriving multinational corporation headquartered in **Boise, Idaho, US**, is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer with expertise in global sourcing to join their strategic procurement team. This critical role will focus on identifying, negotiating with, and managing relationships with international suppliers to secure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing the company's supply chain, driving cost savings, and ensuring reliable delivery of materials essential to our operations. This hybrid position requires a blend of in-office collaboration and remote strategic work.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to identify and qualify new suppliers worldwide. Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Manage and nurture relationships with key international suppliers to foster long-term partnerships. Conduct market research and analysis to understand global commodity trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D) to define material specifications and procurement requirements. Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and international trade regulations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement throughout the supply chain. Develop and maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements. Travel internationally as required to meet with suppliers, attend trade shows, and assess facilities. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the procurement team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in procurement and sourcing, with a significant focus on global markets. Proven track record in negotiating complex contracts and achieving substantial cost savings. Strong understanding of international trade, import/export regulations, and currency exchange dynamics. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse global suppliers and internal teams. Experience in managing supplier risk and ensuring supply chain continuity. Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis. Must be comfortable working in a hybrid model, balancing on-site collaboration in **Boise, Idaho, US**, with remote strategic planning.
