We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director / Director – AR Operations & Revenue Performance to lead Accounts Receivable operations for Allergy specialty practices. This leadership role is focused on AR strategy, denial management, reimbursement optimization, cash acceleration, and KPI-driven operational performance across onshore and offshore teams.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AR analysis, aging management, payer trends, collections strategy, root cause analysis, and driving measurable cash performance improvements in a high-volume RCM environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) operations for Allergy specialty physician and clinic accounts.
- Drive achievement of cash collection goals, AR reduction targets, aging benchmarks, and overall reimbursement performance.
- Analyze AR trends, payer behavior, denial patterns, underpayments, and reimbursement leakage to identify operational gaps and recovery opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic action plans to improve collections, reduce denials, minimize aging buckets, and accelerate cash flow.
- Oversee complex AR follow-ups, escalation management, denial resolution strategies, appeals processes, and payer issue remediation.
- Monitor key revenue cycle metrics including Days in AR, Aging Bucket Performance, Collection Rates, Denial Rates, First-pass Resolution, Net Collection Ratios, and Cash Posting Trends.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to establish KPI-driven operational reviews and revenue improvement initiatives.
- Lead onshore and offshore AR teams, ensuring productivity, accountability, quality, and SLA adherence.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for payer disputes, high-value AR accounts, reimbursement delays, and operational challenges.
- Conduct detailed AR reviews and performance analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive and corrective solutions.
- Build executive-level dashboards, reporting, forecasting models, and operational scorecards related to cash performance and AR health.
- Collaborate with automation, analytics, and technology teams to improve AR workflows, reporting visibility, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with payer regulations, specialty billing requirements, and reimbursement guidelines for Allergy practices.
- Support operational scaling, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the AR function.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 12+ years of progressive RCM experience with strong specialization in Accounts Receivable operations and revenue performance management.
- Minimum 7+ years in senior leadership roles managing AR teams and KPI-driven healthcare operations.
- Proven expertise in Allergy Billing and specialty-specific AR management (required).
- Strong experience in AR analysis, denial management, appeals and collections, revenue recovery, aging reduction strategies, and cash acceleration initiatives.
- Deep understanding of payer behavior, reimbursement methodologies, denial trends, and revenue leakage identification.
- Demonstrated success driving measurable improvements in cash collections, AR days, and operational KPIs.
- Experience managing global delivery models including onshore and offshore AR teams.
- Strong client-facing leadership experience in vendor-side or third-party RCM environments.
- Advanced analytical, reporting, and operational problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and performance-driven remote environment.
- Must have a dedicated home office setup, reliable high-speed internet connection, and ability to work aligned with US business hours.
