Senior Early Childhood Curriculum Developer
Our client, a forward-thinking organization dedicated to enhancing early childhood education, is seeking an experienced Senior Early Childhood Curriculum Developer. This fully remote position offers the unique opportunity to shape impactful educational programs from the ground up. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative, evidence-based curriculum frameworks and learning materials for children aged birth to five. This role requires a deep understanding of child development theories, pedagogical best practices, and early learning standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging, age-appropriate, and culturally responsive educational experiences that foster cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth. You will collaborate with a team of educators, designers, and subject matter experts to produce high-quality, accessible curriculum resources.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of comprehensive early childhood curriculum aligned with national and state early learning standards. Create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities, lesson plans, and educational materials for various age groups within early childhood. Conduct research on best practices in early childhood education and incorporate findings into curriculum development. Develop assessment tools and strategies to monitor children's progress and inform instructional adjustments. Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and early childhood educators to ensure curriculum quality and relevance. Write and edit curriculum content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and pedagogical soundness. Develop guidelines and training materials for educators on implementing the curriculum effectively. Stay current with research and trends in early childhood education and technology. Manage curriculum development projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project scope. Contribute to the evaluation and revision of existing curriculum to ensure its continued effectiveness and relevance. Qualifications: Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in early childhood education, with a significant focus on curriculum design and development. In-depth knowledge of child development principles, learning theories, and early learning standards (e.g., Head Start, NAEYC). Proven ability to create engaging, culturally responsive, and inclusive learning experiences. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. Experience with instructional design principles and educational technology is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools and platforms. Demonstrated passion for improving early childhood education outcomes.
