following opening: Senior Oracle Financial Specialist
- Duration: 1 Year Contract – Extensions PossibleLocation: Providence, RI – Onsite preferred – Remote for the right candidateWork Week: 35 HoursStatement of UnderstandingOracle Financial Specialist will lead and assist in supporting, maintaining and developing the Department’sOracle EBS Financial System known as FMS. The Oracle ERP Modules include:● Grants Management ● Inventory ● HRMS ● Time and Labor (OTL)● Acc. Receivable (AR) ● Acc. Payable (AP) ● Purchasing (PO) ● General Ledger (GL)The contractor Technical Lead will:
- Enhance / support the Oracle R12 Fin. Mngt. Syst. processes & address new areas of work.
- Work with the WorkDay HCM/Payroll & Financial integration team on Data Mapping and Integrations
- Work on Bridge Integrations between Oracle FMS and Workday as needed. New integrations from Oracle ERP include transaction on Purchase Orders, Invoices, GL, Grants, AR, Projects.
- Develop new reports and update existing FMS Oracle reports,
Required Experience 10+ Years Experience
- The candidate must be (60%) Technical and (40%) Functional and possess the following skill sets:
- Well-versed with Procure-to-Pay modules and General Ledger (including SLA) -
- Understand how Oracle Grants/Projects work and its integration Oracle PO, AP, OTL
- Basics of Oracle HRMS, Oracle Time and Labor
- Technically strong in R12.2.x architecture and tech-stack
- Experience in developing Oracle integrations for Workday Projects is desired

Scope of the Work

- Suggest improvements and map the requirements for the Oracle EBS environment
- Support and assist the internal IT team with support issues and key development areas
- Prepare project plans, estimates and milestones, task plans, test plans and defect tracking mechanisms to deliver and manage projects, customizations & enhancements
- Hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12.2.X implementations, upgrades and support
- Knowledge of HRMS, OTL, Inventory, PO, AP, Grants, Subledger Accounting, and GL
- Design, develop and deliver high level custom solutions using:

- Perform gap fixes and performance tuning (Work with DBAs)
- Develop and deliver customizations and extensions
- Perform unit testing and coordinate with users for integration and system testing
- Manage and coordinate issue resolutions and escalations
- Coordinate with Oracle on Product bugs, patches and Service Request resolutions
- Weekly report on deliverables status and presentations with management
- Support, develop and modify Bridge Integrations from FMS Oracle ERP to Workday ERP.
- Develop New Oracle FMS Reports and Update existing Oracle FMS Reports with the Bridge Integrations from Oracle FMS to Workday ERP
- Examine and analyze the benefits & risks of the project – Assist stakeholders in decision making
- Implement effective risk management strategies
- Gather requirements and input
- Design, develop and deliver the projects on time with quality deliverables
- Document test plans and results, deployment plans
- Update project repository using industry documentation standards
- Review projects and coordinate with the Lead Consultant
