Senior Payroll Associate – Ophthalmology
- Job Description:
- Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues
- Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel
- Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms
- May provide general orientation for new employees
- Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas
- Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening
- May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel
- Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary
- Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department
- May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process
- May assist in annual budget process
- Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR’s reports
- Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan
- Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education
- Work Experience: Relevant Experience (3 Years)
- Skills: Accounting, Accounting System, Business, Computer Literacy, Contracts, Grants Management, Highly Developed Interpersonal, Human Resources (HR) Software Systems, Lotus Applications, Microsoft Word, Operating Office Equipment, Organizing
