Our client, a dedicated community organization in **Austin, Texas, US**, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Family Services team. This hybrid role offers a blend of direct client interaction and remote administrative/support functions, providing flexibility while ensuring vital community support. You will be instrumental in providing comprehensive case management, counseling, and resource linkage to families and individuals facing challenges. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct case management services to clients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and strengths. Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with clients and their families. Connect clients with appropriate community resources, such as housing, employment services, mental health support, and healthcare. Offer counseling and support to individuals and families dealing with crisis situations, trauma, and other challenges. Advocate for clients' needs within various systems, including legal, educational, and healthcare. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with agency policies and ethical standards. Collaborate with other service providers, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated care. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and staff development activities. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior social workers and interns. Stay current with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work. Contribute to program development and evaluation initiatives. Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent licensure in Texas is required. Minimum of 5 years of post-MSW experience in direct social work practice, preferably in family services or community-based programs. Demonstrated experience in case management, crisis intervention, and counseling. In-depth knowledge of local community resources and social service systems. Strong understanding of child welfare laws, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care principles. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid work model.
