As a Senior Underwriter, you'll play a vital role in analyzing health benefit plan characteristics, evaluating case risk, and developing competitive pricing strategies. With a hybrid work environment, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working remotely 2 days a week and collaborating with your team in the office 3 days a week.
As a Senior Underwriter, you will:
- Analyze health benefit plan characteristics and evaluate case risk to determine pricing
- Develop Fully Insured and Level Funded comparative benefit packages for new business and renewals
- Negotiate fees/rates and plan options with internal and external partners
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to sales staff and district offices
- Support Marketing in completing requests for proposals and complete ad-hoc projects and reporting
What You'll Bring:
- 1+ years of underwriting experience
- Proficiency with MS Office suite products, specifically MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Residence within commutable distance to Minnetonka, MN
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Financial Underwriting experience in the healthcare industry
- Proven effective negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
