About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that support AMD’s product portfolio.
Your expertise will contribute to the development of high-performance applications and tools used by engineers, developers, and end-users. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience of at least 5 years in software development, particularly in C++, Python, or similar programming languages, is required.
Strong understanding of computer architecture, graphics programming, and parallel processing is essential. Familiarity with hardware-software integration, driver development, and performance optimization will be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are critical.
Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams are important for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Design and implement high-quality software components to support AMD’s hardware and software platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, product managers, and quality assurance to deliver innovative solutions.
Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance.
Optimize software for maximum efficiency, scalability, and performance on various hardware configurations.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
Document technical specifications, development processes, and user manuals to facilitate effective knowledge sharing.
Participate in product planning, feature design, and technical discussions to influence product development strategies.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and external customers as needed.
