Southeast Market Manager — Mobile Diesel Service Location: Greater Charlotte, NC area (work from home, no office)

Compensation: $60,000 base + uncapped weekly market performance bonus

Diesel Dudes is a fast-growing dispatch and customer experience platform that connects fleet operators across the Southeast with qualified independent diesel mechanics. Our customers — trucking fleets, owner-operators, distribution centers, manufacturers — are flooding us with work. Our only ceiling is finding mechanics fast enough to feed the demand.

The diesel mechanic shortage is the single biggest constraint in heavy-duty repair: 65% of shops are understaffed and over half of working techs are 45+. Whoever solves the supply problem owns this market. We are hiring a Southeast Market Manager whose entire job is hunting down, recruiting, and onboarding the network of independent mechanics that powers our growth.

The Role

You will own the mechanic network across the Southeast — focused on Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida in Year 1. Source, vet, sell, sign, onboard, and retain independent owner-operator diesel mechanics. Launch one new market every month — Greensboro/Triad, Greenville-Spartanburg, Raleigh-Durham, Charleston, Savannah, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Lakeland, and Tampa.

By the end of Year 1, you will have built a 10-market network of 30+ active mechanics producing 200+ billable hours per week. You will not be a service writer. You will not be an order-taker. You will be a hunter — every day spent finding strong mechanics and convincing them to plug into our platform.

What you will do:

Source and recruit independent diesel mechanics across 10 Southeast markets in Year 1, one new market per month

Sell prospective mechanics on joining our platform: bring your own truck, run your own business, get steady high-quality jobs from us, get paid quickly, build a long-term partnership

Onboard each mechanic to our standards: insurance verification, equipment checks, communication standards, customer service expectations

Travel monthly to expansion markets to meet mechanics in person and stand up local presence

Hit the 6-market milestone (typically end of month 7) and earn a Mechanic Network Coordinator hire who will take over ongoing relationships so you can focus 100% on opening new markets

Partner with our dispatcher and founders to make sure every market is humming Compensation

$60,000 base salary

$200 per market per week the market produces 20+ billable hours — tracked weekly, paid monthly with payroll. Uncapped, no claw-back.

Year 1 OTE: $108,000-$130,000 depending on cadence

Year 2 sustained network OTE: $160,000+ The variable structure is intentionally simple: one rule, paid weekly on actual market output. If a market produces 20+ hours that week, you earn $200 for it. Build a 10-market network and keep it productive — your weekly bonus reflects exactly that.
