Reporting to the SPS Business Operations Leader and the EMEAA Pole General Manager, this role is pivotal in delivering safe, reliable, and consistently high-quality solutions that meet customer and regulatory expectations. You will embed Safety, Quality, and Lean principles deep into all operations, leading a high-performing team of Quality & Lean professionals. This is a senior leadership role with broad influence โ€” spanning operations leadership, Value Stream transformation, suppliers, and customers. You will be the driving force behind continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), delivering measurable value to customers and shareholders alike.   • Operational Excellence โ€“ Lead end-to-end quality and lean transformation across the EMEAA Pole, ensuring best-in-class efficiency, compliance, and profitability
  • Customer & Regulatory Assurance โ€“ Ensure all customer requirements are consistently embedded and delivered, reducing cost of poor quality and elevating the customer experience
  • Cross-Functional Leadership โ€“ Partner across EHS, EMEAA teams, Steam Power Services, Gas Power, and supplier networks to align strategy and accelerate Value Stream performance

Responsibilities
EMEAA Pole Quality Leadership โ€“ Own the full Quality agenda for the EMEAA Pole, ensuring compliance, operational rigor, and customer responsiveness across all projects, services, and outages

Performance Management โ€“ Orchestrate operating rhythms around key performance indicators as well as target to improve indicators, driving trend analysis, lean action plan progress, and structured problem-solving to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence

Customer Representation โ€“ Serve as the face of Quality to customers, resolving issues swiftly, applying preventive actions, and building lasting trust through consistent responsiveness

Operational Excellence โ€“ Apply Built-in-Quality, Lean, and Value Stream methodologies to drive SQDC improvements, standardize processes, and deliver measurable first-pass yield gains

Problem Solving & Corrective Action โ€“ Own and drive PSRs, 8Ds, 5-Whys, and systemic corrective action programs to deliver both immediate fixes and long-term strategic improvements

Lean Culture & Capability Building โ€“ Coach and embed Leader Standard Work, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices across the Value Stream and EMEAA operations to drive sustainable productivity

Change Leadership โ€“ Lead cross-functional teams to simplify end-to-end processes, drive change using the Change Acceleration Process, and communicate progress through KPIs and MORs

QMS & Audit Governance โ€“ Partner cross-functionally to develop, deploy, and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including internal and external audit execution

Strategic Leadership & Learning โ€“ Shape operations strategy as a key member of SPS Business Operations and EMEAA leadership teams, while fostering a learning organization through best practice sharing and structured communication plans

Basic Qualifications
Education โ€“ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline

Industry Experience โ€“ Significant leadership experience in Operations and/or Quality within the power generation or regulated industrial environment

Lean & Continuous Improvement โ€“ Certified Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Black Belt, with hands-on expertise in Kaizen facilitation, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, and A3 methodologies

Problem Solving โ€“ Advanced proficiency in structured problem-solving techniques including 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis, with a track record of resolving chronic issues and preventing recurrence

Transformation Leadership โ€“ Proven ability to lead large-scale operational transformation programs across multiple workstreams, from initiation through sustained deployment, with clear accountability for timelines and measurable outcomes

Quality & Compliance โ€“ Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks, technical regulations, and compliance requirements, with demonstrated ability to drive SQDC improvements

Team & Accountability โ€“ Proven leader of Quality, Lean, and Operations teams, with strong accountability, resource planning capability, and experience managing multi-year Continuous Improvement Roadmaps

Communication & Influence โ€“ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organization

Mobility โ€“ Willing and able to travel regularly, both regionally and globally

Desired Qualifications
Education โ€“ Master's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain

Familiarity with GE Vernova's Operating Model, Zero Defect framework, Leadership Behaviors, and performance management expectations

Industry Expertise โ€“ Experience developing and implementing Quality policies, procedures, and process simplification in demanding, quality-critical industries such as automotive or aviation

Leadership & Influence โ€“ A credible change agent with outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of driving a strategic agenda and influencing at all levels across a complex, global organization

People Development โ€“ Proven ability to mentor, coach, and inspire diverse teams, creating an environment where people are motivated, empowered, and engaged to deliver results
