Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (Starship Components Operations)

Design and own factory and production area layouts that support clear visual indicators and linear flow.
Conduct job walks with vendors, negotiate pricing, and hold vendors to schedule.
Host process walks of production lines and identify process steps that can be deleted or simplified.
Execute complex projects quickly and cost-effectively.
Work hands-on and lead by example to drive rapid project completion.
Develop and improve systems and processes between production teams.
Build tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost problems to support production decisions.

Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
5+ years of mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience; internships and project teams may qualify.
Process engineering experience, including project management, capacity modeling, process mapping, and layouts.
Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning, including MRP/ERP systems.
Experience as an industrial, operations, process, or manufacturing engineer in a developmental manufacturing environment.
Experience with industrial facilities such as HVAC, gases, electrical, and structural/foundations.
5+ years of experience using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis or modeling dynamic systems.
Experience with lean, six sigma, and related production principles.
Ability to work across teams and skill sets to find the simplest and best solution.
Ability to stand for long periods, stoop and bend as needed, and travel or work long hours/weekends when necessary.
Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Pay range of $130,000 to $180,000 per year.
Eligibility for long-term incentives, including company stock or long-term cash awards.
