Position Overview

Responsibilities and Expectations

This position works directly with the CFO to execute the day-to-day accounting and finance activities at Inner Circle. This includes processes around A/P and A/R, billing, maintaining the general ledger and assisting with the month-end close process. Ensuring the accuracy and usefulness of financial data is of the utmost importance and this position would be instrumental in accomplishing this task. This position has room to grow as the company and the finance team expand.

Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting tasks for the entire company
  • Ensure invoices are addressed, recorded and paid in a timely manner
  • Prepare and enter necessary journal entries for normal operations as well as month end close
  • Serve as a liaison between all internal teams as well as external parties, including clients, insurance payors and vendors
  • Work closely with billing personnel to understand the entirety of the Revenue Cycle, including payor relationships
  • Prepare various account reconciliations
  • Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reporting
  • Prepare payroll journal entries
  • Implement and enforce financial and inventory controls
  • Manage clinic-level budgets
  • Manage all AP and vendors through BILL.com
  • Stay current on company, local, state, and federal financial regulations and policies
  • Analyze current financial processes and recommend improvements
  • Assist CFO as needed and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Intacct)
  • Knowledge of CentralReach billing platform preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and comply with supervisor instruction
  • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking
