Position Details:
Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
2025-2026 school year
Caseload: 20-30 students, PreK-12
Session durations: 30-75 minutes
Visually Impaired K-12 credential required
Starting at $40/hour
Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students using adaptive teaching methods in a virtual environment.
Provide instruction in orientation and mobility and other adaptive skills via online platforms.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and a multidisciplinary team to meet each students unique visual needs.
Stay current with assistive technologies and integrate them into remote lessons.
Create an inclusive, supportive online learning environment for visually impaired students.
Qualifications:
Experience teaching visually impaired students
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate and required educator clearances
In-depth knowledge of visual impairments and their impact on learning
Proficiency with Zoom and other online tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
