Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Blue Springs, MO
An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to support patient care in a contract role located in Blue Springs, MO. This position focuses on delivering specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients, accurately monitoring cardiac rhythms.
- Utilize clinical judgment to assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Adhere to facility policies including nicotine-free environment standards.
- Participate in orientation, including the initial five-day onboarding process related to the healthcare system and specific unit protocols.
- Float between units as needed and work every other weekend and holidays unless otherwise approved for time off.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license.
- Minimum of one year telemetry nursing experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred; familiarity with Cerner is beneficial since the facility uses Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts).
- New graduates are not eligible for this position.
