Trade Supply Finance & Receivable Finance - Associate
About the position
The position supports the senior marketing officer of the Bank's Trade Solutions & Supply Chain Finance business within the Global Trade Finance Department. The role involves providing credit analysis, preparing credit applications, and serving as a general resource to the business, focusing on transactional activities related to Trade Working Capital Finance.
- Responsibilities
- Support credit applications and ensure submitted applications are complete and timely. ,
- Obtain support documentation for deals and coordinate with middle office and back office during the approval process. ,
- Prepare presentation materials, requests for proposals, and term sheets for potential deals. ,
- Respond to day-to-day inquiries from clients, relationship managers, middle and back office. ,
- Keep abreast of industry updates and the economic environment as it relates to working capital finance. ,
- Provide monthly reports to management and other ad hoc reports. ,
- Remain aware of all compliance and risk factors and work with senior team members to minimize and mitigate risk. ,
- Participate in quarterly and annual portfolio reviews and related management reporting. ,
- Handle ad-hoc requests from the team leader of the business.
- Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of specialized experience in corporate banking or trade finance. ,
- Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in the front office of a corporate bank or trade finance department preferred. ,
- In-depth knowledge of working capital lending. ,
- Formal credit training is a must. ,
- Good knowledge of internal policies, processes, grading, and systems related to credit applications. ,
- Strong accounting skills with the ability to read and interpret financial statements and perform cash flow analysis proficiently. ,
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and analyze risk. ,
- Knowledgeable of bank regulations, risk, compliance factors, and regulatory matters. ,
- Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to complete work accurately and timely against strict deadlines. ,
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis with a solid understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and company or industry analysis. ,
- Self-motivated, driven, and task-oriented.

- BA / BS required; MA / MS / MBA preferred. ,
- CFA certification is a plus. ,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
