Tutor - Remote Reading
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working with students of various ages and backgrounds, providing personalized instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Tutor will play a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding of the curriculum and supporting their educational journey.
- Duties
- Educate students by delivering tailored lessons based on individual learning needs and goals.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Assist in curriculum development to enhance educational offerings.
- Provide support for special education needs, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Work with early childhood education programs or adult education initiatives as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Requirements
- Proven experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques.
- Experience in special education or early childhood education is preferred.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
- Background in childcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
