About Connected Thoughts Counseling PLLC
Connected Thoughts Counseling PLLC is a growing Virginia-based psychotherapy group practice focused on providing thoughtful, relational, and high-quality mental health care throughout Virginia.

This position begins as a part-time W-2 role during onboarding, credentialing, and caseload development, with the opportunity to grow into a fuller caseload as credentialing, referrals, and client demand increase.

Compensation Structure
This is a W-2 employee position with compensation based on completed billable clinical services and authorized non-billable work.
During the initial onboarding and credentialing period, hours may be limited and variable. Authorized onboarding, credentialing, training, supervision, documentation review, and administrative work is paid hourly.
- Once the clinician begins seeing clients, completed billable clinical services are compensated at the following rates:
- 90791 Intake Assessment: $65
- 90837 Psychotherapy, 53+ minutes: $55
- 90834 Psychotherapy, 38–52 minutes: $45
- 90832 Psychotherapy, 16–37 minutes: $35
- Authorized onboarding, administrative, training, supervision, meeting, documentation, and practice-related work: $25/hour
Once credentialing and referrals are established, clinicians may grow toward approximately 20–30 completed billable sessions per week, depending on credentialing status, payer approval, referrals, client fit, schedule availability, and clinical appropriateness.
For example, 20 completed 90837 sessions per week plus limited authorized non-billable time annualizes to approximately $58,000–$61,000+, depending on weeks worked.
At approximately 30 completed 90837 sessions per week, annualized compensation may reach approximately $82,500–$85,800+ before additional authorized non-billable time.
Higher compensation is available as caseload increases. Estimated annualized compensation may range from approximately $58,000 to $85,000+ depending on completed sessions, caseload, payer mix, productivity, authorized administrative work, and client retention.
This is not a guaranteed salary. Actual compensation is based on completed clinical services and authorized paid work.
Authorized Non-Billable Work
Authorized non-billable work may include onboarding, credentialing, required supervision, required training, meetings, documentation review, care coordination, intake coordination, and assigned practice-related work.
Authorized non-billable time must be approved, recorded, and tied to assigned practice needs.
Paid Leave
Eligible employees may receive up to 40 hours of paid leave annually after 90 days of employment, prorated based on start date and average scheduled hours.
Paid leave may be used for illness, appointments, personal needs, or vacation, subject to scheduling needs and client care responsibilities.
