About the position

    Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of VUS applications for two annual cycles, including setting the calendar.
  • Respond to prospective applicant and applicant inquiries via email and phone.
  • Maintain and update the application in collaboration with colleagues; assign applications to readers.
  • Draft and update communications to students; coordinate notification of admissions decisions.
  • Schedule, prepare materials, and attend admissions committee meetings; handle follow-up with applicants, universities, and recommenders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities.
  • Communicate with and process I-20 paperwork for incoming international VUS, first-year, and/or transfer students who need a visa.
  • Coordinate and host webinars about the visa process for incoming VUS students.
  • Liaise with various campus partners regarding VUS student visas, matriculation, orientation, and advising.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
    Requirements
  • 3+ years of work experience; education beyond high school may count towards experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Administrative experience in a customer service or operations-oriented office desirable.
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service to diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize work in an environment supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and keep complex information confidential.
  • Proficiency with office productivity and collaboration tools.
  • Access to the Internet for remote work needed.
