Workday Data Consultant
The The Planet Group’s client is actively hiring for a Workday Data Conversion Lead to support a Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Workday implementation. This engagement is expected to begin in late May 2026 and will run for approximately 2 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is full-time (40 hours per week).
This is a fully remote role supporting a high-priority implementation undergoing organizational consolidation. The consultant will serve as the lead for the data conversion workstream, responsible for both the strategic data migration approach and hands-on execution of data loads into Workday. This includes ownership of end-to-end ETL processes, data validation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.
We are seeking Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation, and experience leading complex data migration efforts particularly in M&A environments.
- Responsibilities
- Lead the Workday Data Conversion workstream for an M&A implementation
- Own end to end ETL processes, including extraction, transformation, and loading of worker and compensation data into Workday
- Drive data harmonization efforts across merging entities, including mapping job codes, compensation structures, and provider hierarchies
- Partner with HCM and Compensation functional leads to ensure data supports key business processes such as grade profiles, comp plans, and eligibility rules
- Ensure all data migration activities comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and data privacy standards
- Build and execute comprehensive data validation workbooks and reconciliation reporting to ensure 100% data accuracy
- Qualifications
- Active Workday Core HCM Certification is required
- Proven experience leading Workday Data Conversion workstreams within a System Integrator (SI) or consulting environment
- Expertise in Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and audit processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage directly with business and technical stakeholders
