Overview

From Pain Into Purpose is a YouTube-first storytelling project built around lived experience, memory, and healing.

At its core, this is a memoir told in chapters, long-form, reflective, and emotionally honest. The stories deal with real events, including grief, loss, family rupture, resilience, and meaning-making over time. The tone is calm, restrained, and respectful. This is not inspirational content, coaching, or therapy and it is not designed for virality.

I’m currently in a pre-launch / foundation phase.

The website is still being finalised and the story chapters are in post-production. Right now, the focus is on setting up YouTube properly so the work has a stable, trustworthy home when it is released.

I’m looking for a YouTube Channel Manager who understands how to support story-led work without distorting it.

What This Project Is (and Is Not)

This project IS:

Memoir-based and story-led

Rooted in lived experience

Calm, reflective, and emotionally intelligent

Slow by design (quality over quantity)

This project is NOT:

A growth experiment

Trend-driven content

Motivational or coaching material

Ads, funnels, or paid promotion

If your instinct is to optimise, accelerate, or “improve engagement,” this will not be the right fit.

The Role

This role is about stewardship and structure, not strategy theatrics.

You will be responsible for:

Setting up and organising the YouTube channel

(About section, layout, playlists)

Uploading long-form videos end-to-end

(titles, descriptions, chapters, tags — non-clickbait)

Maintaining consistency in tone, formatting, and presentation

Organising playlists to support narrative flow

Scheduling uploads at a calm, sustainable pace

Light analytics only (what’s landing, not algorithm obsession)

Coordinating with the editor (editing is handled separately)

Instagram or Shorts may be added later only to support YouTube, not as a primary focus.

Content Context

Long-form videos: 25–40 minutes

Documentary / memoir tone

Emotionally sensitive subject matter

Approx. 2–3 videos per month

Longevity matters more than speed

Who This Role Is For

You’re likely a good fit if you:

Have experience managing YouTube channels (not just posting clips)

Are comfortable working with personal, reflective material

Understand how to title and describe content without clickbait

Value clarity, restraint, and consistency

Prefer depth and meaning over volume and trends

Tools & Workflow

YouTube Studio

Basic analytics understanding

Clear documentation and communication

Editing tools not required

To Apply, Please Include

A short note on why this project resonates with you

Your experience managing YouTube channels (links welcome)

How you approach titles and descriptions for sensitive, long-form content

Confirmation that you’re comfortable with a slower, quality-first pace

Please include this line in your proposal:

“I understand this is about depth, not performance.”

Applications without it will not be considered.

Final Note

This role is not about growth for growth’s sake.

It’s about creating a calm, trustworthy container where stories can live without being rushed or reshaped.

If that makes sense to you, I’d love to hear from you.
