About the Role:

The traditional model of siloed product managers, designers, and engineers is too slow for modern AI-native development. At HighLevel, every engineer owns a product outcome end-to-end, from idea to prototype to production to scale. You will operate as a Team of One. With AI tooling and strong engineering infrastructure, a single engineer can now build what previously required an entire squad. You are not implementing tickets. You own the product.

What You'll Do
Feature/Module Ownership:

Translate business goals into working, deployable systems

Propose architecture, workflows, and implementation plans for assigned modules/features; refine and finalize through review with Tech Leads and Engineering Managers before execution

Own modules end-to-end β€” from design discussion through release, post-launch stability, and iterative improvements

Rapid Prototyping & Iteration:

Turn ambiguous ideas into working demos quickly, with timelines scoped to complexity

Prototype using code, AI tooling, automation, or low-code systems

Validate through experiments and real user feedback, then iterate to production quality

Integrate email statistics and analytics with internal teams, and drive feature attribution and metrics visibility so a release is measurable on our dashboards.

Scale, Performance & Reliability:

Build and maintain the Email Template Builder web app β€” a system powering 30M+ emails/day, directly impacting scalability (throughput at peak load), reliability (uptime and send success rate).

Optimize frontend rendering performance, component architecture, lazy loading, and state management; tune backend queries, caching (Redis/CDN), and latency at scale.

Reason through token consumption, inference cost, and infrastructure tradeoffs when integrating AI/LLM tooling

Operational Excellence:

Instrument systems with monitoring and telemetry

Build evaluation loops for continuous quality improvement

Automate workflows that increase engineering velocity

Maintain clear, repeatable documentation

Tech Stack, You'll Work With

Frontend: Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 (Tailwind/SCSS)

Backend: Node.js, NestJS

Data: MongoDB, Firestore, Clickhouse, Redis

Infra: GCP(Pub/Sub, K8s) Cloudflare

AI: LLM APIs, LangGraph, AI-aided dev tooling

Tooling: Git, Jenkins, observability stack(Grafana)

You'll Thrive Here If

You bring a generalist, entrepreneurial, startup-friendly mindset

You enjoy operating with ambiguity and ramping up quickly on unfamiliar parts of the stack

You're comfortable stitching together services and systems you haven't worked with before

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience in software development

Demonstrated track record of shipping production systems

Strong systems thinking and logical reasoning

High ownership mindset; operates well with minimal supervision

Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration cycles

Experience with APIs, automation tools, or AI platforms

Ability to reason about infrastructure tradeoffs and system reliability

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data pipelines, analytics, or telemetry

Strong UX and front-end sensibility

Portfolio or GitHub showcasing deployed systems

Stack: React / Vue / Angular Β· Node.js / Python / Java

What Success Looks Like:

Consistently reduces cycle time from idea to production

Ships production-grade systems, not experiments

Balances quality, latency, and cost in system design

Builds evaluation loops that improve product performance over time

Why You'll Love Working Here:

Massive Impact: Your work directly affects millions of businesses worldwide

High Autonomy: We trust builders to own outcomes, not just tasks
