We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our team at Delta Airlines. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize revenue offers and enhance the customer experience. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive salary of $25/hour.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Analyze complex data sets to identify business opportunities and develop predictive models to drive revenue growth

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Advanced Analytics, Revenue Management, Pricing, and IT to design and implement data-driven solutions

  • Develop and maintain large-scale data models, tools, and systems to support business decision-making

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide insights to inform business strategy

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and identify opportunities to leverage these to drive business growth

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Strong technical skills, including experience with data scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R) and statistical/development software (e.g. R, SAS, Gurobi)

  • Experience working with large data sets, including data processing, analysis, and presentation

  • Proven ability to handle complex quantitative problems and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and authorization to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:


While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:



  • Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Experience with time series forecasting, machine learning, or optimization techniques

  • 2+ years of industry experience in data science or operations research
