Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Saint Charles, MO
An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to provide high-quality patient care during night shifts at a well-established short-term acute care hospital in the Saint Charles, MO area. This contract position involves working a consistent schedule of three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend required to help meet patient care needs.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for telemetry patients with an average census of 16 per shift
- Float between two hospital locations as needed to support unit coverage
- Manage post-catheterization patient care and neuro/stroke cases
- Provide care for adult and geriatric patients, including those undergoing total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wound care, diabetic management, COVID-related care, and oral surgery cases arriving mid-July
- Utilize Epic charting system to document patient information accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license with 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system
- Current NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BCLS certifications required
- Previous experience in post-cath lab inpatient care and neuro/stroke patient management
- Comfortable floating between multiple hospital locations
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
